This is our biggest fundraiser of the year for all of our sports. We ask anyone available help with this wrestling tournament. All Devils wrestlers will be in the tournament free of charge so do not sign them up we will add them manually. If you can help even with part of a section reach out and we will take all the help we can get. None of the task are terribly difficult and can easily be trained on. Thank you in advance it is much appreciated!

Security
We MUST have non participants and coaches off the gym floor at all times. This means you cannot shy away from being confrontational with upset parents and ask them to step out of the gym and go back to the stands. You will have full backup which isn't usually needed however you cant be shy in this role either

Concession Workers
Working in the concession stand. Pretty straight forward, restock items, get people food and drink. This spot is always busy all the time so we ask for as many volunteers as possible for this. Also so many volunteers so that when your child is up to wrestle there's plenty of people for you to split off and go watch them.

This is a room for coaches and referees to come for a quick snack and drink. The breaks are short and they have to get back out there. The room worker has two main jobs, Keep it clean and keep wrestlers out

Coaches and officials check in
You must rise and shine bright and early (5am) check in All coaches and referees through the provided system and give coaches a wrist band. Training will be given for this task but its pretty simple once done a time or two

Break everything down
We have to take everything apart after the tournament. Concessions, tables, clocks and what not goes back to Devils. Mats back to their high schools. Everyone is exhausted at this point so the more people that can stick around and get this done faster the better.

Weigh ins
This will be done the night before (1/10/2026 from 6:30pm- 8pm). Must weigh each wrestler in and log their weights into the system. Also a skin check is to be performed on each wrestler to insure they do not have anything contagious that may be passed onto other wrestlers.

Mat movers to tournament
We will need to pick up mats from Belleville East and Althoff and take them to Belleville West. We will not have exact dates and times for this as we have to wait until the schools grant us access. This sometimes means pick them up on a Thursday and bring back to devils until Sat then take them to West. Unfortunately we have to wait and see
